Overview
Penn State has embarked on the promotion of greater awareness and understanding of world issues, international trends, and global policy debates (e.g., Spanier, 2004).
Our campus is strongly committed to these internationalization initiatives, and therefore has adopted each year a country or region of the world and a theme as a Teaching International common focus to inspire teaching and scholarship. For the 2011-2012 academic year we are focusing on The Middle East.
We also support study abroad through campus-initiated international trips and the University-wide Education Abroad program.
